Check out the true wireless controllers from Truspeed

SCS slot car Wireless controllers for Scalextric SSD

Are you feeling restricted by the cable between your hand controller and Powerbase? Do your kids run away with the hand controller in their hand, still attached to the Power base? Would you like to race your track from another point of view, even move around freely while still racing?

With SCS Scalextric SSD Wireless it is now possible!

  • Use your existing hand controllers and Powerbase
  • Range 10 meters
  • 2.4 GHz Radio Technology, no need for line of sight
  • Simple installation, just plug the SCS adapters in and you are ready to go!

Adds extra features, such as:

  • Child Mode
  • The SCS transmitters can be configured to use reduced maximum throttle. Ideal when racing with young racers who normally would de-slot within seconds. This can be done individually on each transmitter.

  • Quick and simple Ghost Car
  • A channel can be configured to maintain a constant throttle of your choice to create ghost cars. This is done directly from your controller, just set the desired speed and pull a switch.

  • Slot.it 3.3 and 5V compability
  • SCS works with Slot.it digital controllers, both 3.3V and 5V. It can even bridge between the two of them and produce 3.3V output from a 5V cartridge. This means that you don't need to replace your cartridge if you change from the old type Power Base to the new 3.3V APB C7042.

True Wireless racing with Truspeed

TruspeedSlot Car Solutions have teamed up with Truspeed to make a truley wireless control. The Truspeed SSD IV DIGITAL SLOT CAR CONTROLLER has integrated support for SCS wireless and connects directly to any SCS 5.x receiver. The controller itself is a major step up from the Scalextric standard controllers and adds precision, ergonomics and quality which the std controllers won't be even close to. This will take your sclot car experience to another level compared to the standard offerings.

SSD Version 5.2NEW

Shipping since January 2017

New Receiver

5.2 Receivers don't have the fixed connector cables as previous systems. Cables between Receiver and Power Base are now standrad 2.5mm jacks male-male, which can be removed or replaced for longer or shorter cables. 1m is delivered as standard.

SCX-D discontinued

From version 5.2 the system is not possble to use for SCX-D systems due to different voltage requirements. Keeping the support would make SSD systems more expensive and SCS has decided to go for SSD only and discontinues SCX-D.
